Although a formal education in Architecture was the starting point of my pursuits in painting and collage, my inspirations are mainly rooted in the science fiction and fantasy literature I grew up reading and enjoying in comic books and film.

Painting has allowed me to create people and places that are truly unique in form.  The visual language and themes of my work are the result of composing various elements such as pages from a novel, photos, maps, architectural plans and renderings into a new scene.  Images are reshaped, reformed, and adorned with paint and pattern- displacing them from their former context.  Fictional characters such as kings, queens, and soldiers are treated as monuments in an abstract landscape.
